Reserve your spot for U-pick and gather your own fragrant bouquet at Plainly Elegant Lavender Farm. With a few hundred lavender plants open for harvest, this is a reserved and intimate floral gathering that will be a truly memorable day among the blooms.

Location: Plainly Elegant Lavender Farm – 9734 Waters Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. You will be driving down a dirt road
Parking: Limited. We strongly encourage carpooling. You will be parked on mown grass.

Rules & Considerations

This ticket is for all ages, priced separately (ages 18+). Minors should be ticketed separately. Youth ages 6-17 are discounted. Children 5 years and younger are free, but still count for planning purposes.
No outside shears permitted. Sanitized scissors will be provided.
Please remain within designated U-Pick zones. Our other lavender fields are not open for harvest to preserve bloom integrity and future growth.
Be gentle with the plants. Lavender is hardy, but rough handling can damage stems and reduce next year's harvest.
The fields are not flat. We do our best, but mother nature helps out. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Shoes of some sort are required while on premise.
Photography is welcome, but drone and commercial shoots require prior approval.
Animal Policy: For the safety of our plants, guests, and farm animals, no pets are allowed in the lavender field or farm shop area. Registered service animals are welcome, but they must remain on a leash and under control at all times. Please do not allow any animals to enter in between the planting rows.

Tickets are non-refundable but transferable. Our U-Pick experience runs rain or shine. Lavender thrives in a variety of conditions, and light rain can actually intensify the scent in the fields. Please dress appropriately for weather. In the event of severe weather (e.g. lightning, high winds), we will contact you via email to offer a reschedule or credit.

Where exactly is the farm, and how do I get there?

We are at 9734 W Waters Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103 — fifteen minutes west of downtown and easy to reach from Dexter, Chelsea, Saline, and Ypsilanti. The road is a dirt road, so take it slow and enjoy the drive. The exact address and check-in details are included in your booking confirmation email.

When is U-Pick lavender available?

Our U-Pick sessions are available during lavender bloom season. Check our booking calendar for available dates and time slots. Availability is limited and sessions do sell out, so we recommend booking in advance.

How do I book a U-Pick session?

You can reserve your session directly on this page. Select your preferred date and time, choose your ticket type, and complete your booking online. You'll receive a confirmation email with the farm address and check-in details.

What is included with my U-Pick ticket?

Each ticket includes access to our curated U-Pick lavender field during your reserved time slot, one lavender bundle, sanitized scissors and harvesting supplies, and light guidance from our staff on cutting technique and plant care. Additional bundles can be purchased on-site.

How long does a U-Pick session last?

Plan for approximately 45 to 60 minutes. There's no rush. The experience is designed to be unhurried so you can enjoy the beauty of the field at your own pace.

Is the U-Pick experience family friendly?

Yes. We welcome families with children of all ages. Youth ages 6 to 17 receive a discounted ticket. Children 5 and under are free but should still be included in your booking for planning purposes. Please keep children supervised and within the designated U-Pick area at all times.

What should I wear to the lavender farm?

Closed-toe shoes are recommended since the field terrain can be uneven in places. We suggest dressing for the weather — sunscreen, a hat, and layers if the morning is cool. We're open rain or shine, so check the forecast and dress accordingly.

Can I take photos during my visit?

Photography for personal use is absolutely welcome and encouraged. The lavender field makes a beautiful backdrop. Drone use and commercial or professional photography sessions require prior approval — please contact us in advance.

Are pets allowed?

For the safety of our plants, guests, and farm animals, pets are not permitted in the lavender field or farm shop area. Registered service animals are welcome and must remain on a leash and under control at all times.

Is the farm accessible?

The rows are on a working farm with uneven ground. We are happy to help guests with mobility needs find the most level path — please contact us ahead of time so we can make your visit as comfortable as possible.
